Special Qi Center Teacher Training

The Qi Center’s teachers gathered with Grandmaster Hong on Saturday, July 28, 2012, to enhance and hone their teaching skills at a Special Training Session.  These dedicated teachers who generously volunteer their time and efforts have been the driving force behind the success of the Natural Healing Research Foundation (NHRF) Qi Center’s programs.  Each teacher came with a varied teaching experience and all were eager to learn concepts to help deepen and further their understanding of Qi Gong exercises and practice.

Attempting to establish its foothold at its new home in Kaneohe, the Qi Center is looking to introduce Qi Gong and its natural healing modalities and exercises to this windward Oahu location.  In its efforts to build enrollment, the volunteer teachers participated in this special session to improve the quality of their instruction by learning advanced techniques and theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which are the essence of Qi Gong and natural healing.  They were given an in-depth lesson on muscle regions and acupoints.  Through their own practice on the Body Pyramid lead by Master Hong, the teachers were able to connect the specific exercises with the respective muscle region and its acupoints that are activated with each position.  .

This training session’s objective was to give teachers the necessary tools to better connect with the individual needs of each student to deepen and strengthen their practice.  It allowed the teachers to more easily identify and promote the benefits of the exercises and of classes offered at the Center – all necessary to reach out and attract students.  The session furthered the teachers’ knowledge and will empower them to apply these tools to encourage new and current students to create a healthy lifestyle through more healing modalities.  In addition to teaching the exercises, the teachers will be able to connect and share the Aloha spirit as they all share the common goal of enhancing the quality of life through Qi Gong.
